The ACL is one important NanoALi application, not the definition of the treatment. A clinically stable partial tear may suit a non-surgical pathway. A complete or unstable tear may require repair or reconstruction, with biological augmentation considered as part of that separate surgical plan.

Ligament-specific biology placed at the injured tissue

The Seed is an autologous fibroblast-rich micrograft preparation made on the day from a small hair-follicle-bearing tissue sample. An injectable type-I collagen scaffold provides the Soil and platelet-rich fibrin provides the autologous Signal. The target and rehabilitation are adapted to the ligament being treated.

One technique, adapted to the injured ligament

NanoALi may be applied to suitable ACL and MCL injuries in the knee, ulnar collateral ligament injuries at the elbow, and lateral ankle injuries such as the ATFL. Each structure has different mechanics, healing behaviour and rehabilitation demands, so the same Seed, Soil and Signal principle is adapted rather than applied as a generic injection.

Human ankle studies relate to PRP rather than Professor Lee's complete Seed, Soil, Signal technique, so they inform the discussion without proving NanoALi.

What does NanoALi mean?

NanoALi means a non-arthroscopic, needle-delivered, one-stage autologous ligament injection technique. Nano ALi is the spaced form used in some explanatory and search-led copy.

Which ligament injuries may be considered?

Suitable partial or healing injuries of the ACL, MCL, elbow ulnar collateral ligament (UCL) and lateral ankle ligaments such as the ATFL may be considered. Suitability remains specific to the ligament, injury grade, stability, timing and functional demand.

Can NanoALi reconnect a complete rupture?

NanoALi alone cannot mechanically reconnect a completely ruptured ligament or correct significant instability. Repair or reconstruction may be needed, with the NanoALi biology considered separately as an adjunct intended to support healing around that surgical repair.

What is the Seed?

The Seed is an autologous fibroblast-rich micrograft preparation made on the day from a small hair-follicle-bearing tissue sample. The rationale is biologically informed, but direct human NanoALi evidence is not yet available.

Does NanoALi replace rehabilitation?
